Everything But The Kitchen Sink

All –
We are experiencing difficulty once again with the drain in the kitchen sink. It is temporarily out of service, however, the door to the small pantry behind the Perkin conference room is open so that you may access the sink there. We will have the kitchen sink back in service as quickly as possible.

Thanks,

Barry

All –

In light of our important committee meeting this morning in the Epe Street conference room, our neighbors have agreed to hold off on the jackhammering until 12:30. They anticipate about an hour and a half to complete the jackhammering phase of their current project.

Once it hits 12:30, you are all on your own.

Subject: Mysterious Smells

All –

The strong odor you experienced may have been propane from plumbing work being done next door at the Maribou Mansion project. We have no current sources in our building. Maribou Mansion is aware of the problem, is inspecting its premises and will report to us. I have just inspected each of our floors and the garage and the smell appears to be quickly dissipating. If you still smell it strongly, please contact me.

Thanks,

Barry

All –

Otis is inspecting the right hand elevator and will take it out of service for a short while. I will inform you as soon as it is back in service.

In the meantime, if you visit another floor in the building, please be sure to watch your step in the stairwell. It was recently mopped and as a result the stairs are quite slippery. We used a new eco-friendly cleanser that seemed to leave a strange residue to enhance the flooring quality. As we adjust to trying new things, please keep an open mind and wear non-slippery soled shoes.

Thanks,

Barry

All –

The mailroom has now purchased a coil binding machine and supplies for in-house presentation binding. If you have need of this service, please contact a member of the mailroom staff to assist you. As with all project assistance, please provide enough lead time to allow for efficient scheduling and materials acquisition. Binding is not to be requested without planning. This is NOT A JOKE!

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Barry

Subject: Mouse Update

All –

It has been over two months since I have had any reports of either mouse sightings or traces of their presence. Thank you for all your cooperation and attention to this effort.

That said, please don’t ease up in your vigilance. I am starting to notice food (girl scout cookies, candy, etc.) left out in common areas. It’s great to share, but food must be put away in a tightly sealed metal, plastic or glass container to prevent the return of our little friends. Any food left out overnight, even in unopened wrappers or packages, will be disposed of.

Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks,
Barry

Subject: Scent-Free Spaces

All –

We have a number of staffers with severe allergies to scents. For some time now, we have designated the Lower Level, First Floor and Fourth Floor ladies rooms as “SCENT-FREE” spaces. At no time should air fresheners, strong cleaners, colognes or other scented items be used in these spaces. In addition, we have on occasion reminded staff to be considerate of others by refraining from using these same items in the rest of the office. We want to make our offices safe, comfortable, healthy workspaces for all of our staff and tenants and ask your continued cooperation in this regard.

Thanks,
Barry
